Brought in my father's Seiko with a stretched bracelet and a stuck clasp. They cleaned the clasp properly and replaced two links that had worn thin. The sizing is right now — it does not slide around. Took about an hour while I waited.

Had a complication overhaul done on an old calendar piece I inherited. The calendar had been jumping to the wrong date for months. They explained before starting that it would take about two weeks and showed me the running record when I picked it up. Calendar has been accurate since. A minor point: I had hoped for a slightly quicker turnaround, though I understand why they do not rush this service.

Visiting from Sweden
I was in Phuket for three weeks and the rubber strap on my diver had split. Cogveil had replacement options in stock, found one that matched the lug width and colour closely, and fitted it the same afternoon. English spoken without any issue. Exactly what I needed.

The dial on my everyday watch had gone quite faded — hard to read in lower light. They were clear about what they could and could not do: the printing was intact so they cleaned and refreshed the hands only. The difference is noticeable. They did not try to do more than was needed, which I appreciated.

Japanese resident, Phuket
Brought in a moon-phase watch that had been sitting for years. They were upfront that the lubricants would need replacing given the age and Phuket's climate. The turnaround was about twelve days and the moon-phase indicator is now aligned correctly. The written record they provided was a nice detail.

I asked them to look at a vintage piece before I bought it. They examined the movement and told me the mainspring showed wear and the calendar wheel would need attention within a year. That kind of pre-purchase assessment saved me from a bad deal. They did not charge for the examination either.

Inherited Calendar Watch — Not Used in a Decade
A customer brought in a mechanical calendar watch that had been sitting in a drawer for over ten years. The calendar would not advance at midnight and the crown felt stiff. The movement had not been serviced in the time the customer had owned it.
Solution
Full complication overhaul: the movement was disassembled and cleaned ultrasonically, old lubricants removed and replaced with correct-grade oils, the calendar mechanism recalibrated, and the crown mechanism examined — a worn gasket was replaced. The movement then ran for eleven days in-house before collection.
Outcome
Calendar advances correctly at midnight. Rate was within two seconds per day at collection. The customer received the written adjustment record. Total time from drop-off to collection: thirteen working days. Service price: ฿11,200.
"I had not expected to wear it again. Now it is on my wrist most days."

Travel Watch — Strap Broken on Arrival
A visitor arrived in Phuket to find the pin buckle on their leather strap had come apart during transit. The spring bar on one side had pulled through the strap lug lining — the strap was unrepairable. They needed a working strap quickly.
Solution
Workshop had a suitable 20mm leather strap in a cognac brown that closely matched the original. The damaged spring bar was also replaced; the remaining one was checked and found to be correct. Fitting took around forty minutes. New spring bars were sourced from stock.
Outcome
Watch returned to the customer the same afternoon. The replacement strap was a close match in colour and similar in thickness to the original. Service price: ฿3,800 including the new spring bars and strap. The customer wore the watch for the remaining two weeks of their trip.
"They had what I needed and did not make it complicated."

Daily Watch — Dial Difficult to Read
A resident brought in a watch worn daily for fifteen years. The hands had oxidised to a dull grey and the lume on both hands had darkened. The dial print was intact and the customer specifically asked that the original dial not be altered.
Solution
Dial refinishing service: hands removed and cleaned, then re-lacquered to restore the original silver colour. Lume compound on the hand tips refreshed where the oxidisation had progressed. Dial surface was wiped carefully — the print was in good condition and did not need work. Dial inspected under magnification before reassembly.
Outcome
Hands are readable again in most lighting conditions. The original dial markings were left untouched as requested. Legibility improved noticeably at night with the refreshed lume. Completed in five working days. Service price: ฿8,000.
"It looks like it did when I first got it, but the dial still has its original character."
